WATCH: Democrats express hopes for next year during 2020 DNC

PBS NEWS HOUR:

The final night of the Democratic National Convention kicked off with an address from Democratic leaders, celebrities and activists, who spoke about what they hope to see improve by this time next year. They said they hoped to see a more coordinated U.S. coronavirus response, unity rather than division, as well as a more comprehensive health care system, should Joe Biden be elected president. The coronavirus pandemic upended both parties’ traditional conventions. Instead of in-person events, the DNC program each night features a number of speakers and musical performances virtually across the country.
